Welcome to the home of Team Cohen. Here’s where you can find out more about the Team Members, the group research interests, and me and my teaching and research.
About Team Cohen
The Team got its name courtesy of Allie Paul. Allie was working in my lab for the summer (I think it was 2005) doing research and during a long incubations she would occupy her time (and the rest of the students who were there) with an online version of the game show "Family Feud". When signing in, she was asked for a team name and she hit upon "Team Cohen". It stuck. I think some people think I gave the lab group a name to try and create a sense of camaraderie and enthusiasm. I’m not that clever and in some ways, the fact that the name came from a student makes it much more authentic. I am glad that we have been able to build on that enthusiasm and that I still keep in touch with so many of the alums that were a part of it.
Some of the members are honorary- they might have spent a little time in the lab- a term or a summer and then done their theses elsewhere. Others did their theses in other labs, but I collaborated or advised on the project. The only non-honorary member to not complete her thesis in my lab was Allie, but how could I make the one who created the name an honorary member?
