Mohawk Watershed Research Group

Union College, Schenectady NY

The Mohawk Watershed Research Group at Union College is focussed on a number of problems related to watershed analysis, floods, the effect of climate change on the water budget, erosion and sedimentation. Our effort includes developing a network for monitoring the health and flow of the river and the analysis of real-time data from that network. Details about the 2009 Mohawk Watershed Symposium are here.

Participating faculty at Union College:

JOHN I. GARVER (University of Washington) Floods, ice jams, Slumps and erosion. Research on geologic hazards, the effects of hazards on society including flooding and ice jams on the Mohawk River, the evolution of the Mohawk watershed, the analysis of slumps and landslides.
