Economics 24: Competing Philosophies...
Study Guide on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution
  1. What are the economic grievances set out in the Declaration of Independence?

  2. What sorts of things in the modern world justify revolution?

  3. Outline the constitution, at least to the level of giving each article a title.  What are the important economic principles set out in each article?  In particular, what are the economic activities given to the federal government?  What economic activities are left to the states?

  4. When did the federal income tax become legal?  What were the primary sources of government revenue prior to that?
