Using Proquest for WSJ

Using Proquest to search full-text newspapers.

Proquest is an online database made available through Schaffer Library.
Using Proquest, you can reach full-text articles in many periodicals and newspapers.

You must access Proquest through the Schaffer Library web site
http://www.union.edu/PUBLIC/LIBRARY/ .

Click on Databases and Electronic Periodicals
then on Proquest Direct, and Continue

For purposes of this demonstration, check the Wall Street Journal database
and click Continue at the bottom of the page.

Enter Union College in the search window, select the Backfile, and specify
Full text only, as show here:

You should get the following Results list:

To view the full text of any article, click on the full text icon ( ).

Of course, you can tailor your search to your particular needs.
