We have chosen Holiday Inn as the hotel for our conference. You can
make a reservation with them by calling (518) 393-4141. When you call
make sure you mention "Schaffer Library Conference". You

By Car
From the south and east:
From New York State Thruway exit 24, take the Northway (I-87) north
to exit 6 (marked "Route 7 west"). Follow Route 7 west for
6.5 miles and bear right onto Union Street. Continue on Union Street
for 2.8 miles. Turn right at light on to Seward Place. At the end
of Seward Place turn right on to Nott Street. The Nott/Seward parking
lot will be on your right. Turn right in to the Union gate just past
the lot. The parking lot entrance is the first right.
From the north:
From the Northway (I-87) take exit 6 (marked "Route 7 west").
Follow Route 7 west for 6.5 miles and bear right onto Union Street.
Continue on Union Street for 2.8 miles. Turn right at light on to
Seward Place. At the end of Seward Place turn right on to Nott Street.
The Nott/Seward parking lot will be on your right. Turn right in to
the Union gate just past the lot. The parking lot entrance is the
first right.
From the west:
From Thruway exit 26, take I-890 east to exit 4 (Erie Boulevard).
Follow Erie Boulevard north to Union Street (second light after the
Amtrak station), turn right onto Union Street, and follow for approximately
one mile. Turn left at light on to Seward Place. At the end of Seward
Place turn right on to Nott Street. The Nott/Seward parking lot will
be on your right. Turn right in to the Union gate just past the lot.
The parking lot entrance is the first right.
By Air
Taxi and rental car services are available from Albany Airport, about
a 15-minute drive from campus.
By rental car, turn right at the airport exit onto Albany-Shaker Road
and drive north to Route 7. Turn left onto Route 7 west. Follow Route
7 for 4 miles and bear right onto Union Street. Continue on Union
Street for 2.8 miles. Turn right at light on to Seward Place. At the
end of Seward Place turn right on to Nott Street. The Nott/Seward
parking lot will be on your right. Turn right in to the Union gate
just past the lot. The parking lot entrance is the first right.
By Train
The Amtrak station is on State Street in Schenectady, a 10-minute
walk or short taxi ride from the campus. The Nott Memorial is the
large round building in the center of campus.
By Bus
The bus station is on State Street in Schenectady, a 15-minute walk
or short taxi ride from campus. The Nott Memorial is the large round
building in the center of campus.
