                  Description

Nearby groups and clusters provide laboratories to study the impact of environment on the properties of member galaxies, including gas content, star formation rates, morphology, and nuclear activity. This meeting will focus on the observed gas content and star formation properties of galaxies in groups and clusters in the local universe, and the current theoretical understanding of the dominant physical mechanisms at work.

Supported in part by the Skidmore Union Network under National Science Foundation Grant No. 0820032 and by Siena College.
