-GDP:  nominal, real, potential
-the unemployment rate
-the inflation rate
 

  Check the summary and key terms at the end of each chapter. Also, do the problems and questions at the end of each chapter.
 

Reading Assignment

Textbook and MyEconLab: Chapters 1 and 2.  Please note that ALL of the material in each chapter (including boxes, sidebars, summary, key terms, etc.) is required.  Regarding questions and problems, you may skip the following:

  • Chapter 1, textbook.  Skip 5 and 6.
  • Chapter 2, textbook.  Skip 9.

Regarding appendices:  the appendix to chapter 1 gives you useful information about data sources.  The appendix to chapter 2 is optional.
