Human Grace

This collection of work came together on its own; my intention had been simply to include a person in the frame, but evolved into a pursuit of warmth, comfort, and intimacy.  Procuring such a feeling was aided by my subjects, who are all close very close to me: my mother, sisters, boyfriend, and friends, individuals all comfortable in themselves, and in front of the camera, each of them bringing something unique to the image.

In this assembly of work I see moments: moments of intimacy, peace, comfort and confidence.  And I hope to evoke a natural sense of being, nothing too forced or posed, just people as they are: graceful.
