Review of last meeting's minutes

This brief meeting was held to discuss the budget, and particularly the staffing requests for the college web office, and the need to coordinate those requests with OCS requests.  This group will re-convene when Dave Cossey is back from EDUCAUSE to continue discussions. 

We agreed that in order to achieve many of the ambitious projects that we have on the drawing boards, including web advising, online registration, the potential extension of web transactions into other parts of administrative computing; wireless networking, distance learning (via Blackboard-5), and more ambitious replacement and upgrade of campus computing, we must rapidly address the acute shortage of IT support staff.

The meeting adjourned at 4:15 pm.
