  • Jianping Feng, travel to American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, 11/21 to 11/24/2002 in Salt Lake City.

  • Mark Knowles, Language Lab Director, and three Lab assistants travel to the University of Pennsylvania for a National Conference: Version 2.0 - Foreign Language Collaborations and the Web; (October 11-13, 2002).

  • Adrianne Wortzel, Keynote speaker at our Collaborating with Technology conference, meets with representatives from Performing Arts, Mechanical Engineering, and the Robot Club, on Telerobotic Theater.

  • Scott Payne of the CET conducted a workshop at Union on technology in Language instruction, using CDML (Claris Dynamic Mark-up Language).  April 4,5, 2002.
  • Videoconference between Prof. Teresa Meade's Latin American History course at Union, and Juan Jacomino, the news director of the English division of Radio Havana Cuba; Spring 2002.
  • Univeristy of Rhode Island visitors John Grandin and Damon Rarick visited Union to discuss developing international programs for engineers.
