Biophysics

In my laboratory we study the dynamical motions of biological macromolecules to determine their structural/functional properties using laser light scattering and rheology among other techniques. Samples studied include beta amyloid, insulin, actin and its interaction with other specific binding proteins, DNAs, antibodies, the polysaccharide agarose, and bacterial viruses. There are many opportunities for students to get involved in aspects of this research both during the year and in the summers.
