Major Projects:

Impact:
Finished Colleague 16 conversion - College is on fully supported version of Datatel system and can receive all regulatory
Implemented WebAdvising system/technology - Faculty now access  administrative data via the web for student advising.
System is operational and used by up to 60 faculty per day.
Five enhancements are being added this term.

Updating Technology Infrastructure:

Impact:
Installed 124 personal computers, 6 new printers - Represents a significant upgrade in the quality of admin. staff  desktops and laptops.
Upgraded Colleague and Benefactor 5 times - Kept software current, added new functionality, fixed bugs, applied regulatory releases.
Upgraded ALICE  and 3 main NT servers - Provided more computing capability for Colleague, Benefactor, Outlook, filesharing, etc..
Installed new computers  in new Becker Center - Installed 20 new personal computers, laptops, and printers, for  staff and student labs.
Replaced Residence Life desktops -  Installed pc equipment and converted office from mac to pc, now on standard for Datatel.
Replaced Student Activities desktops -  Installed pc equipment and converted office from mac to pc, now on standard for Datatel.
Secured Kenney Center  desktops  - Circumstances caused daily problems...limiting access eliminated majority of  problems.
Secured Campus Safety desktops - Circumstances caused daily problems...limiting access eliminated majority of  problems.
Installed  new NT server for Campus Safety - Makes it possible for multiple users to access their specialized security systems.
Implemented support structure for remote users - Improved reliability and stability of computin for travelling and remote users by

New Or Expanded Services:

Impact:
Installed 2 new NT servers for terminal services - Made it possible to implement Neo "slim client" desktops.
Slim, sleek, cost effective, no moving parts, provides access to MS Office,
Power and software upgraded automatically via ITS servers.
Converted 11 offices to Outlook - Provides these offices with new capabilities and efficiencies with:
graphical interface email, personal and group calendar scheduling, filesharing, and
additional virus protection.
Installed Blackberry and Palm handhelds - Implemented these devices to help staff  track appointments, contacts,
Supported conversion to new telecom system - System is now web accessible.
Expanded mass email capability - Implemented this system in more offices after 9/11 to make mass communication
Implemented AC  web page - Implemented an Administrative Computing web page to give staff  capability via web to
Installed WebAdvising for Benefactor system - Installed additional server and testing first web screen to provides access to Benefactor
Installed WebWizard web development tool - Installing on ALICE...testing...a tool to create basic web screens and reports to access
