The outline is about your project that you will work on for 10 weeks and make 20 finished prints about.  The outline is intended to have you consider important aspects of creating a cohesive body of work over the period of ten weeks.  You will not be restricted only to the ideas and approaches outlined -- the project will evolve.  This is help you consider important components that go into creating a body of work resulting in a unified portfolio.

Your outline should be as follows:

1            Topic with a “working title”
            A            Provide a description of your topic and what you plan to explore.
            B            Three backup project ideas

2            Why
            ..A            Why you want to pursue this topic in the form of photographs.
            B            What you might learn from pursuing the project.
            C            The significance the project has to you as an artist.

3            Where & When
            A            Where - Locations for your shoot [area, vicinity, street]
                        ..If various, list all you think of now
            B            When - will you shoot [consider light at the locations, time of day, etc]

4           How
            A            Color or black and white
            B            Available light, flash mixed with daylight, flash photography,
                       .. artificial light [our light kits or other light sources], night photography

5            Inspiration
            A            What photographers will you look at to help inform you about ideas and possibilities relating to your project – list 8
............B            What other sources, if any, can inform you about your project [writers, books, exhibitions, films, music etc]
